Yo, Joe! American Hero.

GI Joe, the well known American Hero, is set to hit the big screen in the summer of 2009. And while that’s a long ass time from now, a few details have already been released about the upcoming live action movie.

Paramount has released some pictures thus far, and a few of the actors set to take part in the movie have been talking about it as well.

We can expect to see Dennis Quaid playing the role of Commander Hawk, Marlon Wayans as paratrooper Ripcord, and Ray Park (Remember Darth Maul?) playing Snake Eyes to name just a few.

I played with GI Joe toys when I was a kid, and watched the cartoons as well. And while I haven’t thought about GI Joe in many years, this should be a welcomed nostalgic return to it once the movie comes out.
