Real Life Invisibility Cloak
Ever been ganked by a rogue in World of Warcraft you never even knew was there? You know you have, and you hated it. Well here’s your chance to get back at them, except in real life. Calm down, it’s not available yet. But it’s looking like it’s not that far off.
Yup. Researchers in California have developed something that supposedly bends light around three dimensional objects, which effectively makes them dissapear. Basically meaning, I gather, that cloaking devices are not so far fetched.
The people working on this says the effect, which presumably is being tested on small objects, could be scaled large enough to eventually make an actual person invisible.
Have you climaxed yet? Don’t lie. Either way, if you’re interested in reading more about this, head over to the original article for more information.
In summary, it’s cool finding out that the shit you read and watch in fantasy and sci fi is not so out of the question in our future. It’s kind of amazing what those smart types are capable of solving. Almost makes me wish I paid more attention in Science.
There’s info about this kind of new technology being used for telecommunications and making more powerful microscopes and improving on shit like that…
But who’s kidding who here? This kind of (likely) expensive toy has major appeal because, well, that dude is fucking invisible, man! Or at least he could be someday in the not so distant future.
Save that good for use in other applications nonsense for the IPO investors!
