BRB, Bathroom
Whenever I take a number two, I think of these guys. And I mean that in the most respectful way. I found this site a month or so ago when a headline to an article caught my eye on an unrelated forum. It was some kind of a poll on finding out whether people stand to wipe, or wipe while sitting down. Hey, I was curious.
Now before you laugh, make a sick-face, call me a scat fetishist or think I talk about poo too much, hear me out.
Potty humor can be really funny. But that’s not the only thing you’ll find on Poop Report. Highlighted as “The Intellectual Appreciation of Poop,” you’d have to expect a bit more, no? Well I wasn’t let down. In fact, it really surprised me. I expected fart and shit jokes of course, but walked away with a lot more than just that.
It takes a special kind of writer to be able to pen a story about having a brutal case of the runs and not just churn out an explicit description that makes you want to throw up a little in your mouth. And more than not, that’s what you’ll find there. A collection of people, gathered together to share stories in a pretty intelligent and funny way. Not just that either; you can often find people asking questions that they’re too ashamed to ask elsewhere, and a community of people who are often pretty helpful and willing to give advice.
To be crystal: I’m not being paid to promote this site. They don’t even know I exist. I’m mostly a lurker there, save for a comment on a story regarding gallbladder removal, and a post or two on their forums. Now that that shit is out of the way, go read! I highly recommend it as a good source for laughs and, believe it or not, inspiration on how to become a better writer.
If you’re looking for shit pics or scat fetish stuff, you won’t find it there. In fact I believe posting pics of stuff like that is against the TOS anyway. But you will find a pretty interesting group of people who come together to talk about this taboo subject with no shame and often a nice camaraderie to boot.
Like any community type site on the internet, it can be hard to break into as a noob. Lurk moar, and you’ll get an idea for how things go there. All in all, I just enjoy reading. There are a ton of funny and helpful articles and stories to be found. And like I said, it can be kind of an inspiration to see someone take a subject like poop and turn it into a really engaging story. At least for me it is, as an aspiring writer.
Just thought I’d share. Enjoy.
